It always strikes me as odd that those most fixated on the opportunity, or necessity, for adulterers to receive Communion are those least likely to believe in Transubstantiation.

But then I reflect that to them the value of communion is not in what it is, but in the way they are seen by the community; that is, in a matter of pure egotistic self-righteousness.

Those who blaspheme the sacrament when it is about Christ, proceed to deify it when it is about them.

All normal, then.

    Haha! That’s the same motivation as that of the catholic girlymen who roam the internet, judging others for being judgmental. It’s as if they are saying, “Look at me, everybody! Do you see how superior I am? Do you finally see that the passive-aggressive girlyman is the holiest of all?”

    Yes, there are even self-described Trads that are really all about the double-standards of the nicey-nice approach… all aimed at claiming personal superiority. Hilarious! :)

    There are definite parallels with the liberal mindset.
