Easter Monday Resolution: Dump Starbucks!

Dump Starbucks

Easter Monday is such a beautiful day to make a solemn proposition to dump Starbucks.

  1. An excellent plan, but whatever made you a customer of Starbuck’s in the first place, if you were one?

    • That’s an interesting question, as I always found them way overpriced.

For the record, I never was a more than very occasional customer of Starbucks, so I can’t dump them. I am sure many can.

  2. And W.H. Smith. Happy Easter Mundabor.

    • And to you, Richard!

If you have ready links on W.H. Smith I will publish them with joy.

    • What about Amazon? Should they also be boycotted? They have supported Same-Sex Marriage with their new Kindle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-7IA54-tmE)

      God Bless.

    • Of course they should, if you can.

The problem with companies like Amazon or Google is that it’s not so easy to boycott them, it’s like boycotting your own water company.

I wouldn’t buy a kindle today, rather the Sony Reader. If Sony also caves in to the gay mafia I would consider the situation then.

  3. Don’t like their coffee anyway!

  4. Never drink the stuff, and won’t now. You probably don’t accept awards, but I have nominated you for a ‘Liebster’ award because I really admire your blog. Details at my place: http://jessicahof.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=5406&action=edit

  5. ‘Of course they should, if you can. ‘

You’re correct of course, Amazon and Google are a bit more complicated. I am not getting an upgrade of their latest Kindle, but as of this moment, I see no reason to avoid some of their services, such as buying books since Amazon is merely the marketplace. I think it would be sensible to avoid anything directly by Amazon (i.e the Kindle).

    God Bless.

    • If one can actually only download the app, that would be a good move. I do not know whether this is possible, I bought the kindle already.

I’d boycott Amazon as a vendor for everything which is not a book (where in the end they are a marketplace like many others) and try to give them as little money as possible when I really must.

Anyway, if in the next years the likes of Starbucks will feel the heat, other will pay much more attention to what they say.

    • Thanks I have it already, but I thought perhaps everything was so smooth for me because I already had a registered Kindle. I do not remember all that I did to make it work. Glad it’s not necessary to buy the device itself.
