USA: Morning-After Pill Soon Available Without Prescription?

“A 12-year-old girl in a New York City school cannot be given an aspirin by her teacher, even if she has a fever. The same girl cannot buy a large soda during lunchtime because Mayor Michael Bloomberg has decreed that it is not good for her. But she can be given a pill, unbeknownst to her parents, that could arguably abort her baby,” he said in a statement.

These words are from Micheal Donohue, of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, after the ruling from a New York judge that the so-called “morning after” pill be made available to people of absolutely any age without restriction.

If the Nazi judge gets his or her way, abortion will be available over the counter for people (I assume here: boys as well as girls) of absolutely every age: cue the girl of 12 (or the boy of 13) going at the counter without anyone having the right to ask them for identification of proof of age. The equally idiotic nannying of the very same girls in New York City only makes the contrast more unreal.

I know “what has the world come to” is an abused expression, but it does not lose any of its validity just because we must nowadays ask the question more often.

There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  1. Foul. The West is sliding into Sodom and Gomorrah.

  2. To rail against child sex abuse and then to allow this is totally illogical. Its consequence: another pathway to child sex abuse opens up. And so female children are set to join their adult sisters in sexual objectification.

    • Very well said, Gentry.
One can only imagine the effect of the explosion of porn among adolescents, linked to the easy availability of contraceptive and abortifacients and the exclusion of the parents even from de facto abortive decisions.
But Bloomberg doesn’t want them to drink large colas.
There will be weeping, and gnashing of teeth….

  3. Amazing! In this country we won’t allow a kid to own a firearm until he’s 18, but now an idiot judge will allow a minor to get contraceptives?! I fear for my country’s children!

    • I think it’s even worse than contraceptive, it’s abortifacients.
It’s one’s daughter aborting one’s granddaughter without those who have her in custody even knowing!
I doubt even Hitler would have come up with such ideas…

  4. This country has lost all common sense. An 11 year old can purchase abortifacients – no questions asked, but I, a 49 year old has to show my drivers license and sign an acknowledgment in order to purchase a box containing 10 Sudafed pills. I’m also limited to only one box at time of purchase. At the local convenience stores, signs are proudly display stating that if you purchase cigarettes and look to be under 30, you will be required to show ID. It is becoming clear to me that a female’s “right” to murder trumps all others; even if that means putting children at risk of being sexually exploited.
