Medjugorje: Axe Finally About To Fall
For once, let me say this time Francis is evidently acting like a Pope should. I am afraid I won’t say it very often, so take good note.
Francis is quoted by the CNS as follows:
“Curiosity pushes us to want to hear that the Lord is here or over there, or it makes us say, ‘Well, I know a visionary who receives letters from Our Lady, messages from Our Lady,'” the pope said. But Mary is “not a postmaster of the post office sending out messages every day.”
This is, clearly, the end for all the self-deluded souls who have tried to hide for decades behind the absence of a formal papal condemnation for which, in presence of the bishop’s condemnation, there was never any need in the first place.
I also commend (what a day!) Francis’ choice of anticipating the final decision on Medjugorje with this warning shot that is, in fact, the sentence itself. When the final report comes it will contain extensive, crushing evidence. It is fitting that the poor idiots, being very slow-witted, are given some time to realise that there is no alternative but to shut up and stop waiting for the next bogus fax.
Francis obviously completes here the very slow work initiated – far too late anyway – by Pope Benedict. But he has evidently decided to act, so he is the one who carries the main merit of the decision.
Allow me to say, on this occasion, with great joy: well done, Pope Francis!

The Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith headed by then Cardinal Ratzinger during the pontificate of Pope John Paul ii issued a document stating the “nothing Supernatural” was found in Medjugorje apparitions. The Bishops Conference of former Yugoslavia had by that time twice voted that the visions were not of Supernatural origin. The American journalist, E. Michael Jones wrote a book and made a video exposing Medjugorje as inauthentic and portraying the CDF document. Jones’ opinion was that the visionaries were confabulating. On this point, I agree with those clergy and lay who think the visionaries are being deceived by demonic apparitions….although some lying has occurred, usually to smooth over inconsistencies related to things the vision had said.
Well if they are demonic apparitions one must say they haven’t fared badly out of that. Personally, I think Satan would do better than have the Blessed Virgin thank everyone for listening to her, and such like.
I rather think they started lying because they did not want to say they were smoking, were surprised by the huge resonance and could not backpedal without fear of being more or less lynched. Then some profited more and some less, but all of them did.
The alleged texts are so stupid they can’t be the work of any halfway smart demon. They are the work of stupid humans.

Exactly !
Just like Bayside was false so too has been the great damage done by Medjugorje. Many of probable good will have gone to Medjugorje but have been duped by big business out of their money, abused and misled their good intentions. Our Blessed Mother does not follow the schedule of seers with on cue apparitions and weekly messages, This is not some long running musical like ‘The King and I ‘
Many of the messages start out with supposed direct quotes from :Our Blessed Mother lamenting some shortcoming or sins and all end with saying, Thank you for having responded to my call. Shame on them. Some of messages are not even logical. It is time to close shop for them and for those that are really of good will to ease on down the road to Fatima , Lourdes and the other Church approved apparitions.

A little word of warning to those of us who are sceptical about Medjugorje. If it is true, we’re all shafted, since the Gospa has said we are all “unbelieving Judases”. That probably implies we’re not saved.
Fortunately, it’s just an elaborate hoax fabricated by a group of pious, dope-smoking entrepreneurs. From a completely amoral and capitalist perspective, I must commend them.

He didn’t specify or single-out Medjugorje, and he could have the same opinion of Fatima.
In the case of fatima there are no daily faxes, nor is fatima under investigation from the Vatican.
Francis has already shown at least lip service to the Fatima apparitions.
It can’t be Fatima. It’s Medjugorje.

He who laughs last laughs best. I may have the opportunity, this Thanksgiving, to see some people who vilified me for scoffing at Medjugorje. I even referred them to your blog feeling you quashed the apparition so much more eloquently than I ever could, and they vilified you too. I fantasize my opening salvo to be, “So how’s that Medjugorje thang working out fer ya?” I will refrain, of course, out of charity for the poor deluded souls.
Ah, at times a bit of humour goes a long way… 😉
I am, for the record, proud of being vilified by Medjugorje groupies. You did very well in directing them to my blog. If one doesn’t want to get it, it’s his fault.
They will, no doubt, enjoy the Vatican assessment… 😉

The aforementioned souls are Vaticanista II cheerleaders, BTW. If they were not secular they’d be Nuns on the Bus!
