“What Sweeter Music”

  1. They may be protestants, but their singing is superb and somehow that procession at the beginning of the playlist looks more Catholic than what we see in our own parishes.

    • I have no problem at all with beautiful Proddie music. In this, I follow the tradition of several generations of devout Catholic who have stolen Protestant music and used it in their liturgy (and vice versa; see Allegri’s Miserere).

      In fact, I think the most notable effect of the Ordinariates is in making a wonderful patrimony of sacred music – cleaned where needed – authentically Catholic.

      If one cannot listen to “Dear Lord and Father of Mankind” without being deeply music, I wonder what kind of person he is.
