Cardinal Burke Speaks Against Pansies.

The Cardinal seems to think they are not very good at protecting Catholicism.

The Cardinal seems to think they are not very good at protecting Catholicism.

The Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura spoke with unmistakable clarity : “It takes uncompromising Catholics” to oppose the killing of unborn children, artificial insemination and the gender ideology. In an exceptional and very long interview with the monthly magazine Radici Cristiane by Roberto de Mattei, the Cardinal treated in a  Catholic manner, the burning and controversial issues of the current debate over which, anti-Church circles exercise an increasingly radical   cultural hegemony and how  the thinking of Europeans is veritably brainwashed, which  begins in kindergarten. There is no more time watch idly or to talk about compromise.  Nor is it legitimate to resign.[!] The tacit resignation in the face of a psychological, moral and spiritual destruction thus constitutes a form of compromise with evil, says the Cardinal.

This comes from the usual Eponymous Flower. Unfortunately, the original interview on the Italian Radici cristiane site is, as I write this, so horribly formatted it is better to stick to the translation.

Let us see some of the things the Cardinal is saying:

1. We need “uncompromising Catholics”.

Let us stop with the goodism, the nice words, the “nuances”. Let us be assertive. Yes, we need “Catholicism without Compromise”. Exactly what this blog has in his subtitle. One can be proud.

2. The thinking of Europeans is veritably brainwashed.

Very true. I spoke with a German telling me how proud he was he remained at home after childbirth, allowing his wives to get back to work after birth. It’s a mystery to me what kind of woman might be interested in a man like that (answer: a German feminist), but it is truly scary that the feminist brainwashing of both sexes should lead to such brain damage. We answer to that by, well, saying it as it is, and unavoidably offending the pansies.

The brainwashing is particularly evident in the will to leave the moral high ground to perverts. Militant perverts and their friends must be ridiculed, not treated with “sensitivity”. Ridicule is an extremely effective weapon. When you decide you can’t ridicule the enemy, you have lost the war already. Only pansies don’t get this. Lots of pansies around. You write “faggot”, they’re all in a huff you have contravened to the Only Commandment.

3. There is no more time [to] watch idly or to talk about compromise.

Well, I would say in a sense there is, because we must continue the battle for as long as it takes. But there can be no doubt it’s better to wake up earlier than later.

Be loud. Show your righteous anger. Ridicule the enemy. Don’t be a pansy.

  1. I hope Cdl. Burke is elected our next Pope. Pray he will have weapons to scare off the wolves if he’s elected!

  2. Pope Francis’ name invoked again by gay activists who view religious beliefs as “discrimination”.

  3. Viterbo, your hypocrisy is breathtaking.
    You are not welcome.

  4. I would like Pope Burke or Pope Fellay….yes please.

  5. It’s telling that Cardinal Burke (a Prince of the Church ) talks abouts ‘ Catholics ‘ and not ‘ Church’ . Does he mean that we from now on will have much more to rely on ourselves than on the Church’s organization , like once Archb. Fulton Sheen famously said ? Is this another torpedo against the Bishop of Rome’s ‘ Newchurch ‘,taking into account what he can and what he can’t say openly ? He knows for sure that the forces of Evil are , and have been in modern times, much better organized and shwred than ours . The issue of common organization and decisions ‘ on the battlefield ‘ is much more crucial than in the past . For instance , if there is a law or ministerial memorandum that obliges ( as will be very soon in Italy )all teachers to teach the wonders of masturbation, families with multiple mums and dads, the beauty of ‘alternative’ lifestyles since kindergarten age, what must Catholic teachers do? Laicist forces are sending e- mails to many Italians to support the Law 194 and fire all conscience’s objectors-doctors . Soon many catholic magazines, newspapers,TVs will be accused of ‘ hate speech’. Again, what to do : passive or active resistance? All the parties , press, TvS have fast taken a Christo- and Christianophobic stance ,and the Bishop of Rome’s position means a total surrender even before the war is declared. What do Cardinal Burke’s words in reality mean ? Every trial of a ‘dissenting’ Catholic will surely end with a fine up to EUR 70,000 and maybe up to one year in prison , plus ,insult added to injury, helping ‘rainbow’ groups for four or six months. Are we ready for that ?

    • I wouldn’t read too much into the Cardinal’s words, I cannot imagine he would want to launch torpedoes against Francis.

As to the Italian situation, the developments are scary indeed, and this is why it enrages one no end when one sees that Francis is, in the meantime, only able to criticise hypothetical hypocrites, who really seem to obsess him.

And then, one is told he is “uncharitable”.

  6. Please find the English language version of the interview: Also kindly note that it was originally published in the Polonia Christiana magazine.

  7. When you ‘ridicule’ are you not ‘judging’ – both the Bishops of Rome and New York reject judging. I don’t mean this tongue in cheek. I think there is a serious moral issue here and sadly our clerics are not helping the people in the pews understand the meaning and role of judgement.

The Cardinale Bishop of New York was quite unequivocal in a recent interview:
“the bible teaches us not to judge”!

So I’m not to make any judgement when an unborn child is murdered? Millions murdered – “Who am I to judge?”
I take communion next to a doctor who committed the murder, the women who presented the child to be murdered, the politician who voted for a law to facilitate and finance the murders – “Who am I to judge?”

  8. The Good Cardinal is absolutely correct! It is the duty of a Catholic to confront and admonish the sinner!
Forget the “bandying about” efforts to be “Politically Correct”, confront the sin and sinner or you indeed become a conspirator!! Slinking off, without Honor or the gumption to show your displeasure!
Why have the leaders of the Catholic Church, Especially here in the United States abandoned their role and responsibility!!
The “USCCB” acts like a whole bed of “Pansy’s”! Look at the feckless posture of Cardinal Dolan of NY!
Bishop Fulton Sheen would gladly agree and surely expound on Cardinal Burkes’ comments.
