It always strikes me as odd that those most fixated on the opportunity, or necessity, for adulterers to receive Communion are those least likely to believe in Transubstantiation.
But then I reflect that to them the value of communion is not in what it is, but in the way they are seen by the community; that is, in a matter of pure egotistic self-righteousness.
Those who blaspheme the sacrament when it is about Christ, proceed to deify it when it is about them.
All normal, then.

‘Those who blaspheme the Sacrament…’ is a great point: hilariously and pathetically true. Despite the evidence of it, the perpetrators cannot see the blatant contradiction of their words and actions. It is a great shame that logic has completely dropped out of the education systems, when we so obviously need it.
Wow. Good observation, it never occurred to me. Sad.
It is exactly like the manner in which the people who most stridently deny Rome’s authority want desperately to be ROMAN Catholic Women Priests.
