Vatican-SSPX: The Alternative Press Release

Vatican

This morning, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a cordial meeting took place at the premises of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith between some of our side and some of theirs. The warm and humid summer, continuing into the last decade of September, was much lamented. Hope was expressed that October might bring the usual, glorious weather. The SSPX is no FFI and there's no messing around with them, so we kept it at a strict diplomatic level. The hope that our differences may be soon overcome was very diplomatically expressed, though no one believed it in the least. It's clear as long as Francis is Pope there will be no reconciliation. We can live with that, because there's nothing we can do to them and they know it. Thankfully, the issue of Mary Ever Virgin was not touched upon.

  1. Your blog is a great service to humans, and I recommended it on mine. http://natilux.wordpress.com/

  2. I have very bad news for you Mundabor. The SSPX are already “messing around” with their own, who dared squawk about just how eager Menzigen is to come to some sort of “accommodation” with their opposite numbers (genders?) in the Curia. Oh, for round 2 and some odd years now, after certain conciliatory correspondence hit the fan. Methinks it’s safe to say, now is not the time…

    • Not sure I understand what you mean. The critics of Fellay are a tiny minority. Fellay has promised to have any tentative agreement approved by the majority. It is clear to a blind there is no reconciliation in sight.

  3. Great! Very funny!!

Christus vincit, Christus regnat, Christus imperat!

  4. Heh. Very eloquently stated. Ain’t that the truth?

  5. The critics inside the FFI have also been a tiny minority. It seems they have been undermined by the Lodge. See where they are now. The same strategy may well serve twice (and it’s an old game which remembers me of Churchill, saying about enemies : “If you can’t beat them, join them!”). Though I agree that the FSSPX have men of another “trempe” (as we call it in French, which gives the idea of a sword which has been so craftfully shaped by passing through a lot of fires and immersions in water so that the weapon is nearly indestructible. Such a weapon will never bend. (See the sword of Siegfried.)

  6. Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! That’s perfect!

  7. Actually i saw Ms. Fellay the same day in Albano( i leave there and i go to the mass of course)

What can say……keep the eyes open!

  8. Grazie per la lezione in italiano!

    Rhizo.
