If laws do not lead people to Christ then they are obsolete,

Pope Francis, homily of the 13 October 2014, the day of the Relatio post disceptationem.

[We must avoid] The temptation to neglect the “depositum fidei”, not thinking of themselves as guardians but as owners or masters [of it];

Pope Francis, address to the Synod Fathers, five days later.

I keep calling him The Most Astonishing Hypocrite In Church History, and I hope by now most of my readers understand why.

Five days after triumphantly  announcing – on the same day of the Relatio which clearly bears his heretical stamp – a new post-Christian era, this man dares to warn us from the temptation of becoming… exactly like him.

Shameless hypocrite.

Whited sepulchre.

  1. And this is what passes for “Jesuitical” these days.

No wonder the Jesuits of Argentina were embarrassed by Begoglio.

  2. I think this contradiction is deliberate. Most people will not pick up on it, or will just hear what interests them. It allows Francis to divide traditionalists who otherwise would make things impossible and keep onward with his project of squandering the Deposit of Faith.

    • Yes.
The attention span of the average “c”atholic is perhaps ten seconds, his memory back to last Sunday, his historical knowledge is non-existent.
Of course he will believe everything that seems good on the day, will not pose questions, and will not believe in heretical Popes more than in unicorns.

  3. In dealing with Francis’s language manipulation, perhaps we should invoke Our Lady, Untier of Knots! Am I correct in hearing him say that we should not consider ourselves as guardians of the Deposit of Faith, but as owners and masters of the Deposit of Faith which means we can distort and manipulate it to suit our purposes as he so admirably does?
Personally, I prefer to follow Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre who was a strong and true guardian of the Deposit of Faith. He speaks truly, simply and clearly as when he says, “Truth cannot change, else it was never the truth.”

  4. So Francis messed up and lost his first battle, and is now somewhat blaming his lib henchmen in order to pretend that his hands are clean and that he wasn’t behind the report the whole time. So the next Kasper might think twice before sticking his neck out for the liberal cause.

That’s unless the libs mount a strong counterattack soon. Here are the vote totals (at Crux) for the egregious paragraphs of the report:

    On the homos:
    Yes: 118
    No: 62

So it was close. If Francis continues with his propaganda in the coming months and the conservatives stay silent and respectful, then it’s back to usual and Francis creeps closer and closer to victory, like a snake.

  5. being catholic is tricky.
