  1. The post is correct but it shows just one side of the medal. The opposition to such bill is quite strong even in some christian-democratic parties because they think such law would be too radical and it would break the “abortion compromise” they now have with left parties. They are afraid that, if they change the law in that direction, some future leftist government would make it legal on demand once they assume power (which is hopefully never). Just last month the similar proposal was narowly rejected in Sejm.

    Elections are held in two weeks and opinion polls suggest that conservative opposition will have a majority. I hope they’ll have more guts…
