Champagne At Macron’s. Matteo Salvini And How Trump Is Changing Europe

What exhilarating weeks are we leaving in old Europe! It is as if King Theoden had woken up from his Soros Wormtongue-induced slumber and were now fully awake, alert, and ready for battle.

After the good run with the AfD in Germany, which made Merkel’s seat at least wobble for months, it was Austria’s turn. But the real revolution started in Italy when, finally, a government uniting the two biggest pro Trump parties started to operate. It was the first of June, less than one month ago.

It has been one month of fireworks. Not only in words, mind, but in deeds. In just a few weeks, new Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini shocked the Brussels Establishment with an immigration policy way more assertive than even Trump’s.

Nor does Salvini refrain from what would, pre-Trump, be considered impolite or undiplomatic. You push him, he punches you in the face. Salvini’s communication style is another issue where smart Europeans have learned from Trump.

The latest exchange was delightful. After creepy latteboy Macron complained populism with leprosy, Salvini’s reply was not an indirect reply, but a very straight one: Macron is a nice guy who drinks too much champagne. And, by the way, he thinks the next ten “refugee” ships should dock in Marseille, thank you very much.

This is Trumpism at its best. Be outspoken and, if attacked, counterattack fast and hard.

Italy loves, and I mean loves this guy. The Lega has been cleaning up in the administrative elections involving a handful of million voters, giving an extremely clear indication – out of real ballot boxes, not polls – of where the Country is headed. And if you look at the polls, they are now the biggest party in Italy. Salvini is now, even if “merely” Interior Minister, the strong man of the coalition and Italy’s face the world over.

Salvini has tackled an Italian problem in an American way. He has watched Trump attentively and has understood that the double whammy works, if one has the balls to pull it off. About Salvini’s balls I do not have doubts anymore.

A joy to read the Italian newspapers.

It had not happened for such a long time.

  1. God must not be through with us just yet. He has provided a man, Donald J. Trump, to give a model of how being a man is done. That effect just cannot be overestimated, especially given the effeminate and pacifist model so part of our cultural mindsets these days. This blatant weakness and eternal positivism is going to get us overrun, then killed. The Church helped. Nothing but she-men run our church, most definitely, and while they are busy killing their own golden goose they are also encouraging confused middle of the road she-men to follow suit. (Their wives are helping with that by encouraging their men to be sissies and by dominating them.)
But it’s going to take MEN to keep Europe and the US from being swamped by Islam. Islam knows what it is, doesn’t apologize, and tells you directly it is coming for you. We had better figure this out and figure it out quick, time’s a wastin.
President Donald J. Trump. He is not just a man, he is a force of nature. All factors joined together in order to bring us a man of individual characteristics and background, who for some incredible reason chose to leave a billionaire’s lifestyle to save the free world, and in particular, his beloved America. He comes right out of the cultural elite, yet he talks like a midwestern farmer, his values are the same, his deep love of nation and people, and he’s a statesman, his plain talk interspersed with educated and informed comments which reflect a man that can’t be defined easily. He’s incredibly strong, resilient, adaptable, but he is a man whose heart is on his sleeve, if one cares to look. He cares about people, feels for them, wants to help them, he cares about what is smart, and what is right.
And the maniacal, demonic Left, hates him with a white hot passion, which grows exponentially, every day.
Please God, protect President Trump, his family, and his administration. Help those men who will, see him, hear him, and learn from him.

  2. Good news!
His personal life is as messy as Trump’s. One divorce, two “partners,” both women: Wikipedia: In 2001 Matteo Salvini married Fabrizia Ieluzzi, a journalist who worked for a private radio station, by whom he had one child Federico in 2003.[138] After his divorce he had another child, Mirta, by his domestic partner Giulia Martinelli in 2012.[139] He is currently engaged with Elisa Isoardi, a popular TV host

  3. It gets better. Salvini’s just done a brilliant end run around the EU, striking a deal with Libya to set up detention centers on Libya’s SOUTHERN border. It completely subverts the EU’s plan to set up “reception centers” in southern Europe – i.e. Italy. The deal also says that only Libya has the right to patrol its own waters – bye, bye “rescue” boats that troll the Libyan waters for illegals that they then ferry to Italy. This is too delicious for words. Btw – It seems as if France and Germany have a certain contempt for Italy with the way they’re trying to lord it over them. Is that my imagination?

  4. The European and American people are finally waking up from their slumber and electing leaders who will fight back to save their countries’ integrity and sovereignty. Salvini is Italy’s Trump. Viva Italia! Viva Cristo Rey!
