Nigerian Troubles

The Evil Clown has given an ultimatum to the Nigerian priests who, since 2012, have refused to accept their Benedict-appointed new bishop: either they solemnly promise allegiance to him or they will get rid of their job.

I do not know enough of African matters to know whether this long confrontation is to do with orthodoxy or tribalism. However, I can tell you this: if it is to do with tribalism it is a shame that priests be concerned about tribal matters even as they shut up about Amoris Laetitia and the other countless scandals of this pontificate. I would not expect from a priest to be in the first line against Francis' heresy, but if these priests are ready to refuse obedience to a (actually, two) Popes for many years in lesser matters, then they should feel the more obliged to do it in the big ones; the more so, as they clearly have the numbers and, reassuringly, no sitting bishop.

If the controversy has been, all this time, about orthodoxy (disabuse yourself of the notion that Benedict appointed good bishops; many of them were simply atrocious), then it is still shameful that as a battle for orthodoxy enrages the elephant in the room (Amoris Laetitia) is not addressed.

Either way, this Nigerian issue shows us that the clergy is abandoning us even when one could hope that they are, for a change, trying to shepherd their sheep. If it's not silence for the wrong reasons, it is protest for the wrong reasons. And this in Africa, which should give us hope with its alleged orthodoxy.

The world should by now be aflame with condemnations of Amoris Laetitia.

What we get is, I fear, tribal controversies.

Insensitive Archbishops

“In all the villages of Nigeria, there are women who have no education and girls who do not attend school. They can not read or write, but they have the morning after pill . When they are questioned, they know which pill they have when to take abort. How can that be? Who tells them that and gives them the morning after pill,  pushing it into her hand? It is the western governmental and non-governmental organizations that impose their ideas on us. And these ‘values’ mean birth control. This is worth   much money and effort from the West. And why do they do that? To ensure that our government gets international economic aid, they must accept this Western policy. But that is called coercion. A culture and a mentality is imposed that is not ours, for we Nigerians not despise life.”   They attempt this by way of  an ideological indoctrination but specifically from the outside to manipulate the minds of the people in Nigeria.

These words are from Ignatius Kaigama, the Archbishop of Jos and President of the Nigerian Bishops’ Conference. Nigeria is the Country where Boko Haram massacres Christians like there’s no tomorrow – I have written here,  where I also linked to Andrew Klavan’s always useful “sensitivity training”, “how to behave during an Islamic massacre” – but where the West seems most concerned with letting abortion pills reach every freaking village, and screeching like an offended Trannie whenever Christian legislation is enacted.  

The Archbishop explains very clearly what the deal is: if you want to have the help to alleviate your economic misery, you will have to teach your girls the anti-values of the West. If you are Christian, you must be bad. Uganda received the same treatment.

Alas, someone should tell the Archbishop that he is “obsessing” about both homosexuality and abortion; that getting “out there” and reeking of Western rot is absolutely fundamental, particularly if the sheep in the “outskirts” do the same; that in the new “time of mercy”  new accents must be set; that he should, erm, (cough), always consider the “individual circumstances”;  and that if sodomites “search the Lord” and “have good will”, who is he to judge? 

Perhaps the Archbishop will be visited by Father Volpi after the latter’s current demolition project has been brought to an end? 

You never know. The time of mercy looks like a time of bullying of everything orthodox indeed.

Another Day, Another Episode Of Persecution Of Christians

Violent Infidel Pedophile: Mohammed.

Read here on CNA about the heavy damage suffered by a Nigerian Cathedral by the hand of the usual group of supporters of the, erm, “religion of peace”.

The group’s name translates in the local dialect as “Western education is a sin” and I hope their sons and sons’ sons never learn anything else than their stupid, blasphemous Coran, thus adequately preparing themselves for a life as toilet cleaners; unless of course they get themselves killed beforehand, which is clearly in the cards.

The group has been carrying on these attacks on what appears to be an almost daily basis, probably to fight the boredom of modern office life or perhaps, who knows, because they are simply people who understand the message of Islam and put it in practice.

You’ll be pleased to know that they don’t seem to exclusively target Christians, though, as in the same day two police stations have been targeted, too. Busy people.

In such circumstances, one is reminded of the nice Andrew Klavan’s video about “sensitivity training”.

Truly, for certain countries decolonisation seems to have been rather a self-inflicted punishment.
