Who Is The Pharisee Now?

The new rules about annulment may well make of the Catholic sacrament of marriage – better said, of its indissolubility as perceived by the populace – a tragic farce.

In a world in which most people think in term of “rights”, and think they have the right to get whatever they want, there will be no scarcity of people ready to (wink wink) lie to a priest willing to (wink wink) believe the lie, particularly in those dioceses in which the bishops will steer things towards a very frequent use of the “fast track” procedure; fast track for which a lie, or two lies, will be enough.

Therefore, we will have the situation of countless annulments that are the fruits of a lie, and are therefore sacrilegious.

God will not be mocked, but I am sure most of those progressive priests and laymen will not be worried by that in the least.

“My marriage has been annulled”, will Mrs Pious Adulterer say. “That's what the competent authorities have stated. Therefore, I am completely fine!”.

Francis is here – in that satanical way so typical of his – encouraging exactly that kind of pharisaism he so frequently criticises. It is actually tragically amusing to see how the devil mocks even the pope, forcing him to assume all those traits he criticises in others: the stunning hypocrisy of playing poor and living like a king, preaching co2 reduction and travelling around the planet with a big entourage, criticising gossip and spending half of his time insulting everyone, criticising legalism and propose the demolition of Sacraments from a purely legalistic perspective.

Francis' attack on marriage is the definitive example of Pharisaism. I am sure he feels very smart because of it, though. Fool.

God will not be mocked. Every sound Christian will know what a marriage promise is, and will be terrified of playing with it. The reprobates who will abuse the system using the huge doors to abuse Francis has (wink, wink) opened to them are reprobates anyway.

God will not be mocked. Who is the Pharisee now?

  1. Excellent Mundabor. Let pray for Pope Francis that the Holy Spirit lets him see himself as he is.

  2. Who put him there?
    Who leave him there?
It is hard to imagine that at this point deposing him would require legalism; “resistance” has been proposed but so far there is no clear picture as to what this actually means in practical terms .

    • Resistance is very clear, and what is practiced in this forum every day.
You recognise him as the Pope, and denounce every heresy, blasphemy and stupidity, explicit or implies, that he says.

  3. I’ve written often prior to this tectonic shift in annulments – were the liberals granted their push for communion for the divorced and remarried – that there would be no need for a Catholic wedding ceremony any longer. They would have succeeded in neutering the last of the three marriage bona left standing – Fidelity. Having this last bonum already been weakened by No Fault Divorce’s onslaught, it appears that Marriage’s death knell has come not at the hands of the un-catholic Synod’s minions, but at the hands of the Evil Gru himself.

The only man to compare the current Pontiff to is Barrack Obama, in so far as, for both, “never has so much damage, been done to so many, in so short of time, by one man”. The trouble is, the masses of supporters keep smiling and supporting this bulls**t, all the while refusing the reality of the damage strewn behind their puckered butts, or more importantly, their weakened Souls.

Vatican II – while not entirely full of error – is full of enough critical errors as to make it entirely culpable for what has just occurred. The streamlining of annulments is just the continuation of the streamlining of Catholicism started in 1962.

As the sayings go: “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” and its corollary: “the floor of Hell is paved with the skulls of Bishops.”

    God help us…

    Dear Mundy,
two items -that may be of interest to you:

–Cardinal Burke with a breath of fresh Catholic air- (Sept 8th) -Keynote speech in Steubenville. Includes comments on harm from streamlined annulments and Synod on Family. (note: to skip longish intro (Burke bio) go to min 18)

–TMAHICH with more air- pollution (Sept 10th) homily from Santa Marta-
Targets anyone who earns a living making weapons- (because weapons kill people) and priests who dare to enter a confessional without his personal brand of “mercy” OR
in a “stressed” state –in which case.. (typically “sound” papal instruction):
“go to your doctor who will give you some pills to make you less stressed!…” http://thewandererpress.com/breaking/pope-francis-a-person-who-cant-forgive-is-not-a-christian/

  5. I look at the actions of ‘believers’ and think, Do they not believe or do they believe and have chosen Satan? Maybe it doesn’t matter

    • I ask myself the same question.
I think most have lost the faith, but more than very few have actually started to side with the enemy.

    • I think many are confused.

Others, the majority, like to think they believe more than they really do. They participate in prayer groups and Church events but practice yoga, art of living meditations and matra chanting, love Bergoglio’s year of mercy and support the last motu proprio. They are always holding the rosary but lie in things as stupid as saying they have doctor’s appointment with their son so he won’t have to sit for an exam.

    • As Christianity becomes more and more a hearsay religion, more and more will call thrmselves “Christians” whilst being, out of ignorance of bad faith, functional pagans.
Pope Francis is, I think, a point in case already.
