What Is Wrong With Bishop Fellay?

Astonishing words from an unrecognisable Bishop Fellay reported by Gloria TV.

“We may be a little less controversial in attacking the persons”, the man said. He also added, in purest V II style, that “sometimes” ones get more with “a simple argument” than “by barking”.

When Bishop Fellay's “simple argument” leads to the Vatican reneging on Amoris Laetitia and substituting it with a document Archbishop Lefebvre would have approved in toto I will agree with him.

As it is, I cannot but be very alarmed at reading that the head of the only major ecclesiastical bastion against heresy starts talking like a damn V II sellout.

I cannot avoid wondering whether the danger for the SSPX does not come from the heretics outside, but from the careerists inside.

In this moment of extreme gravity in the history of the Church we must all bark more, not less; and we must bark like very angry mastiffs.

I never thought I'd see the day when I read Fellay spout such nonsense. This is very, very alarming and it behooves every good Catholic to denounce appeasement wherever it comes from.

Good Lord, if even the SSPX is devoured from the cancer of promises of appointments (a red hat for Fellay perhaps?) the only one remained will be honest laymen and isolated priests in micro-SSPX organisations. A real blow.

What is wrong with this man? Does he not realise that if he says “there is no trap” and in the same interview says “but we will go soft on the enemies of Truth”, then most certainly he is the trap?

  1. Yes, most discouraging.

  2. My theory is that he has some pink skeletons in his closet that will “come out” if he refused to go along with the faux Homogoglian mercy.

  3. Bishop Fellay is really starting to worry me. The SSPX is the only big gun we have left and if that falls…………… To better illustrate this I have a client who has become a friend. He is a Convert to Catholicism and when he converted it was a SSPX priest that taught him Catechism. His metal shop is in Atlanta but he lives in St. Marys Kansas because he wanted his children to get a good Catholic education so every other week he travels to Atlanta spends a week there then the next week is in Kansas working out of the house and it repeats thru the year. About 3 years ago he became very concerned about where the society is headed. He told me of modernism seeping in. He then pulled his two remaining daughters out of the academy and started to home school. In fact he laughed and said, ya and this is why I moved there in the first place. He told me the mass was still true and legitimate but the sermons were becoming more and more of a concern. He eventually started a small chapel in St. Marys for resistance priests to say mass. There is a growing congregation but the town is very uneasy now. I think the mass is said either once a month or every other week by Father Pfeiffer, a former SSPX priest. The resistance does have a seminary in Boston Kentucky but it is still in its infancy. Doesn’t it always figure, just when things are going so good for us trads we get the rug pulled out from under us! Benedict goes, Crazy Frank takes the chair of St. Peter and we once again start to loose the true mass!

  4. Pfeiffer seems very orthodox, he was one of the original SSPX priests ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre You can’t tell the legit priests anymore with out a score card. Here is a link off my website to his sermons. I would be interested to know what you think. http://www.ecclesiamilitans.com/2017/05/20/fr-joseph-pfeiffer-sermon-may-20-2017-san-diego-california/

  5. Allow me to say that Father Joseph Pfeiffer used to be in Post Falls when we attended SSPX. He actually taught my husbands convert classes. He (IMO) has gone completely off the rails.

  6. There are people who know a great deal about the SSPX. I am not one of them. I only know they are considered the safeguards of the true faith.
But whatever they are considered, I no longer hold the order in high regard, and Bishop Fellay has lost my confidence, even before this article.
Of what possible use are Bishops who have lost their salt. With what can they be made salty again? Silence, deals, with what we are seeing? Good grief, we’ve got all the capitulators we need right now, thanks.

  7. OMG…Bishop Fellay is being prudent, plain & simple.

    SACERDOS

    WHO held the Fort
    Till the Calvary came
    Fighting for all
    In His Holy Name?

    WHO fed the sheep
    As the pastures burned dry?
    A few Good Shepherds
    Heeding their cry.

    WHO led the charge
    ‘Gainst heresy’s Huns
    Defending the degreed
    To His lowliest ones?

    WHO battened down
    The hatch of the barque
    To warm cold souls
    From shivering-seas dark?

    “WHO?” mocks Satan
    Delighting in doubt
    Fills you with questions,
    Never lets you find out.

    “Hoc est enum
    Corpus meum…
    and for many…” who kept
The dead words – Te Deum!

    Fidelium Fellay!!

  8. It would appear that the only “success” that Bergoglio’s had in his “pontificate” is the creation of dissent within the SSPX.

    Sad.

  9. Well Our Lady did say “Only I can help you”. It seems to be more true with every day that passes.

  10. Helpful: Rosaries, prayers, and sacrifices for the SSPX, its leaders, and anyone else involved in any attempts at “reconciliation” with Rome.

    Less helpful: Anything else

  11. I agree with Adrienne above re: Fr. Pfeiffer having gone off the rails. The Ecclesia Militans link left by Al Schroeder has some good material, but unfortunately, they heavily promote the two troublesome priests (Pfeiffer & Hewko), who are against the four Resistance Bishops (+Williamson, +Faure, +Aquinas and +Zendejas).

  12. “Red bar”= “red hat,” maybe? At any rate, your vehemence is a bit much. Abp. Lefebvre signed the documents of the evil “V II” after all. At any rate, “simple argument” often does win more to the Truth than “barking.” People tire of being barked at, something dogs, often rabid dogs, do.

  13. Bishop Fellay aint no Archbishop Lefebvre. That is clear. Fellayology is as harmful as papology. He is heading to split the good society. The four resistance bishops at least kept faithful to Lefebvre. The Devil has seen an opening and took advantage. Quel dommage!
