The Rise Of The Deplorables: One Year Later

The Lord bless you and keep you.

Yesterday it was one year from that wonderful, sleepless night I spent in front of my computer screen, enjoying (almost) every moment. What an unforgettable night. What joy to go to work without having closed an eye, but knowing that Armageddon was averted.

Imagine a Hillary Presidency only from the point of view of the Supreme Court: the Scalia substitution alone would have tipped the scale in favour of people with no decency and no God, but Baader Ginsburg would also have soon resigned, and possibly Kennedy, or Roberts, or both. Sotomajor has, it is rumoured, a big diabetes problem, and she might have been persuaded to resign, too. It would have been a complete remaking of the Country for who knows how many decades.

This is the by far most important aspect. But there are others. Trump has killed the Paris Agreement and the TPP, he is remaking Nafta, he is killing the entire environ-mentalist agenda, he is being vocally pro-life. The economy is marching forward and the stock exchange reflects the rosy prospects, indicating an easy win in 2020 unless the man loses his mind and starts to drift towards the “centre”. There is a new assertiveness abroad: Iran, North Korea, Syria: we finally have a POTUS again instead of a limp-wristed idiot completely out of his depth.

The initial movement has now become a true revolution, a revolution that supports Trump but does not depend on him. Alabama has shown in the most brutal way (assuming a Republican victory next month) what is to be done to be elected, and the ripple effect on future Senate races is already stunning. Virginia has shown that half measures will not do, and the RINOs might soon become an endangered species. The Second Amendment is stronger than it has been in a long time. The Country is visibly shifting towards sanity.

I forget a lot.

Certainly, not all has gone according to plan, but then it never does. I would have expected more energy in the matter of illegal immigration, but again this is mainly for the legislative power to start acting on. The Wall *is* coming. Obamacare *is* dying. The tax reform too.

One year later, I raise my eyes heavenward and thank a good and merciful Lord for the Rise Of The Deplorables, allowing not only the US, but the entire West not to be condemned to the Dictatorship of Godlessness.

What great, great gift Donald Trump is.

On this day, I want to renew my despise for, and my insults toward, the Sanctimonious Judases who would have preferred to see Hillary in power to satisfy their petty vindictiveness and their morbid desire to see everything crumble around them as they blame you for it. Despicable idiots. Enemies of everything that is good and holy. Tools of the devil. May God forgive them for having helped Satan in 2016. I will certainly not forget.

One year later, we look to the future with a renewed optimism, and we know that the Army of Christ is on the offensive where it counts most, the USA. We are still suffering on the papal front, where the situation is utterly dire. But it is fair to say that Trump will do for Christian values much more than Francis will ever be able to destroy.

Soldier on, my fellow Deplorables. Keep fighting the good fight, and keep supporting the right side. Never waiver. Pray for the swift departure (one way or the other) of RBG, Sotomajor, Kennedy and Roberts, and their substitution for justices in the mould of Gorsuch. They will readjust the country’s trajectory, and pave the way for a Christian generation after us.

Thank you, Lord, for Donald Trump, and for the Charge Of The Deplorables.

  1. Yea, I was up all night also. 🙂

  2. Wonderfully written!! God bless you!

  3. And thanks to you, Mundabor, for all the encouragement you have given to us “deplorables” in these very trying times! I thank God, who in His Mercy, has given us a strong Christian leader. May the Lord continue to bless him and send His angels to keep him safe from harm.

  4. I couldn’t disagree more with this. This is blind optimism (as opposed to hope), and all on account of the election of Donald Trump? Angels of God help us!

Oh sure, people elected him within the context of a wider populist “revolt” (against what, there’s no real consensus), but he’s a symptom of even further religious, moral, political, cultural and economic decline in this country.

I’m afraid things are looking more down than ever. I’d even say materially, the U.S.A. is pretty much finished. Oh it’ll linger on, just as the Roman and Byzantine Empires did, but it’s finished otherwise.
