Is Bishop Martin Really So Stupid?

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

After the very predictable results in Ireland, the first culprits of the mess that has been created go to the press (they love doing this, clearly) and give a show of incompetence that I cannot believe can be the result of stupidity (and a great amount of that would be necessary, anyway), but rather of an evil desire to avoid at all costs having to do their job and to betray Christ every day of their miserable life; provided, that is, that they get a comfortable existence before a judgment in which they very probably have stopped believing a long time ago.

For example, one reads the words of Bishop Martin and wonders why the man was ever considered fit for anything but work on a potato field; an infinitely worthier activity, by the way, than being Bishop Martin.

The words of the man are sheer unbelievable. Reality doesn’t live in the mind of this man; or, rather, not a shred of fear of the Lord.

Following, the bishop’s words accompanied by yours truly’s certainly very obvious observations.

“The Church has to find a new language which will be understood and heard by people,”

No. The Church has to speak the language of the Church. That language has always been understood well enough. It is the wishy-washy, “let us not offend anyone”, “why can’t we be all friends”, “we are so embarrassed by the pedophile scandal so we will shut up and hope we are forgiven”-language that leads nowhere, because the people understand that they have to do with a bunch a good-for-nothing eunuchs in black (when they dress in black).

The first generation will despise them and still believe. The second, who has not been properly taught the faith, will despise them and not believe. And the in the first part, they are most certainly right.

“We have to see how is it that the Church’s teaching on marriage and family is not being received even within its own flock.”

It’s because you never explained and defended it. It’s because you never told people what happens if they refuse to follow it. It’s because you never had the guts to tell things as they are. It’s because you tried to keep the very unpleasant but absolutely indispensable bits out of the recipe, and now wonder why the cake is a failure the flock does not understand, and does not want to eat.

“There’s a growing gap between Irish young people and the Church and there’s a growing gap between the culture of Ireland that’s developing and the Church.”

The man is such an ass that he does not understand (or pretends not to; which makes him evil; which is worse) that his words are his own indictment. It is exactly his job to care that there is no gap. It is exactly his job to tell his flock what happens when there is one. It his job. He is there just for that. If he is so thick that he does not get it, he should steer the next potato field.

And look at the language, even here! The bishop clearly hints (but does not say) that in all this the problem is not Ireland which develops, but the Church which doesn’t.  The man can’t avoid bending over backwards to please the heathens, not even on this day! God forbid, he sends a Catholic message!

Obviously, abortion is now the next target.

How could it not be? With such idiots at the helm, what hopes there are?

Bishop Martin will have a quiet life all right. A life of privilege and authority, albeit swindling. A life of comfort, far away from the potato fields of his infinitely worthier ancestors. But when he dies, I doubt he will consider it a good investment.

I know (because, by the grace of God my faith is strong enough), I have no doubt that the Angels look down on Bishop Martin and on the army of professional Grima Wormtongues like him and ask the Lord to exact a terrible vengeance for their betrayal of Christ and His Church.

A betrayal so obvious, so blatant, so shameless, that it has now become a matter of normality, as a bishop looks at his fully de-christianised flock after he has looked at them going away from religion every step of the way and says somethign between “there must be some slight communication problem here” and “we should modernise or thinking already”.

I know the angels look down on him, and ask for vengeance. Wretched sinner as I am, I would dread to face death today with the same chances this man will have if he dies today, unrepentant. Many will end up like him. The very probably gravest crisis in the history of the Church is the result of the possibly gravest betrayal from Her shepherds.

They are a bunch of fools if they think they are going to escape the direst punishment, because they were “nice” and gave interviews about a “new language”.

Ireland Chooses Satan

WolfGangAndDevil

Clearly, St Wolfgang was not Irish…

Only 22 years after sodomy acts were decriminalised, Ireland has today rather overwhelmingly (“yes, show perversion to my children” has taken 62% of the vote) in favour of the legalisation of that oxymoron called “gay marriage”.

Ireland had it coming, and now their children will have to live with the mess that the fathers have created.

The first culprit is, obviously, the Irish clergy. I do not know whether there is another Country where the demolition of Catholicism has been pursued so aggressively as there. A collective cupio dissolvi that must please the likes of Francis and, of course, Timothy Radcliffe.

The Buggers Broadcasting Communism are not getting tired of showing to children and families the photos of fags and dykes kissing. They truly want perversion to become mainstream. They enjoy a day in which Christ is crucified again so publicly, and so blatantly. They spit on Christianity and are proud of it.

Serves you right, you lukewarm “nice” Irish Catholics. Serves you right, you “let us not obsess about homosexuality” crowd. Serves you right, you “there are bigger fishes to fry” types. You will now have to live in a society in which not only perversion has full legal societal approval, but in which you and your children run the risk of being persecuted *merely for saying you do not approve of sexual perversion*, as the Gaystapo insists in their satanic practices being considered a “human right”.

You will now have your children exposed to sexual perversion, and will have to fight – if you want to, which I doubt – against a tide of popular opinion that for your children will be a matter of course, and the societal received truth. Some of your children will become pervert, and go to hell through it. Many others will go to hell without being perverts, but just for making their satanic work.

God knows I do not wish any soul to go to hell. But this here is not about what we are wishing, it is about what we are observing. It’s happening under our eyes, and it is clear Satan’s nets are all out, and the catch will be so plentiful it makes one’s blood chill.

No, you stupid men and women of Ireland. You go to hell without me. I will die in the religion of my forefathers and, wretched sinner as I am, hope to find some mercy in my weak, but sincere efforts to live a Christian life, and in my adherence to what I know to be Revealed Truth.

You, stupid men and women of Ireland, have no excuses. You know very well what the Church teaches. You chose to ignore Christ’s religion to create your own.

I do not wish for anyone of you to go to hell. I will keep praying for your final repentance as it is my duty of Catholic. But I do not feel the slightest shred of compassion for those among you who will be sent to their eternal damnation after such an open rebellion to Christ.

Be your own God, pay the price.

One day, Satan will show you an entirely new meaning of “same sex loving”.

The Past And The Future

Yes: the buffoon on the right was a Jesuit.

Messa in Latino has an interesting blog post about a property in Limerick, Ireland.

In short, a dying Jesuit order sells the church to a developer. They plan to make of it a swimming pool/spa (but this did not bother the Jesuits one bit, I suppose).

The developer gets into troubled waters, and obviously the great crisis comes. The plans are put on ice.

In 2012, the church is sold to… the Institute Of Christ The King Sovereign Priest.

They restructure the place and make of it a thriving Catholic church. Tridentine Mass every day.

Take that, Jorge.

One wonders how many churches are sold by dying potheads without caring for alternative Catholic uses, or deliberately ignoring them. Particularly so, when the potential buyer would be a Traditionalist or semi-Traditionalist order.

Better a spa, then. Very probably there is also more money to be made. Unless, that is, sound Catholic forces end up rebuilding what the Jesuits potheads were destroying.

This, in turn, seems to me another example of the future of the Church. A Church that will probably go through terrible times as the Sixty-Eighters manage to ravage it for another decade or two; but which will in time see, at her roots, the sound Catholics take the upper hand as the bishop of the New Church Order die one after the other, and the liberals leave either aborted foetuses, or irreligious children.

The Jesuits are on their way to extinction, and not one day too soon. The Traditionalist orders – obviously including the crème de la crème, the SSPX – are all thriving. The church born of the implosion of New Church will be much smaller than the pothead orders of the Sixties; but she will be truly Catholic, and rich in zeal and vocations.

Wherever they install themselves, Traditionalist orders prosper. Orders leaning towards Traditionalism can have their growth stopped – temporarily, at least – only through brutal persecution.

This is a film we have already seen many times: a Church becoming stronger through clinging to her values or through sheer persecution, as Her enemies slowly sink to irrelevance, six feet under.

Providence at work.

Take that, Jorge.

The Risk Of Catholic Infiltration In Ireland

The news has been widely publicised that Archbishop Martin of Dublin has criticised those young Irish priests who, uncaring of the new Age Of Catholic Protestantism, insist with such an obnoxious and uncharitable nuisance as Catholic teaching.

The way the Archbishop criticises the young orthodox priests is very telling: they would be, we are informed, “conformist”, and “closed”.

Well I never…

Last time I looked, the first duty of a priest was to espouse conformism; to be, in fact, the very epitome of it. Or since when has anti conformism become a positive trait in a priest? Who is a good priest for Archbishop Martin? One who teaches his sheep that it is not necessary to convert anyone to Catholicism?

The same goes, of course, with the “closed” thing; a word which means nothing (the bishop himself is “closed” to pedophilia, surely?) but clearly conveys a clear message that orthodoxy itself must now be seen as narrow-minded. Which explains what “closed” means in this context: Catholic.

One seems to understand how Father Martin made a career, does one not?

Still: it is a consolation to know that in this vast lake of mud, Catholic nymphaeas in the form of orthodox priests are still growing here and there; so much so, that the Bishop must intervene, lest one day Ireland should become Catholic again.

You see: certainly, Francis is a huge problem, because before him the Popes were at least presentable. But the other and vaster problem is the very many little Francis running countless dioceses; they have been left, in essentials, unpunished and even undisturbed by those very same presentable Popes now so fondly remembered, and they were allowed to slowly infiltrate the ranks of the Cardinals. The accident of the election of one like Francis to the Papacy was therefore, given time, unavoidable given the mentality with which the former Popes have made their appointments.

No, I do not think the Cardinals – most of them anyway – really knew what they were doing. But when you have so many rotten apples in the Sistine Chapel, it is unavoidable that at some point one be given a Mozzetta. Which he will then, rather coherently with his rotten thinking, refuse to wear.

My prayers are with the young orthodox priests in Ireland, whose Catholicism so much alarms the Archbishop; and with all young and less young priests who take their vocation seriously, and believe they will have to give an account for it one day.

Frankly, I very much doubt Archbishop Martin has the same belief as them.

Bishop Nice

beer_photo_draught_pint

The bishop hated the pro-lifers’ noise outside of the pub.

“screaming at one another is not acceptable from people who are pro-life”.

Yes, we live in such stupid times that a bishop chides people who try to have babies not murdered for “screaming” at their opponents concerning abortion.

Oh, these pro-life activists. Such uneducated people. Their screaming disturbs the bishop’s postprandial nap, or afternoon pint with his buddies.

Tut-tut.

If you think this is a joke, it isn’t.

I received from reader Phlogiston1667 this link, and the daft smile the bishop puts in front of the camera speaks volume about the usual V II article we have in front of us here: one who is very good at smiling at the world, and at bullying Catholics.

Another typical trait of the V II tools is that, with the excuse of “having to find ways of speaking the truth in love”, they are very happy with not speaking the truth at all.

And in fact, it is evident to anyone with a brain that if you speak the truth in any meaningful way, someone will call you uncharitable. A bishop might even tell you you are “screaming”, which is obviously a no-no in polite society.

This time, the former auxiliary bishop makes clear he will not allow Catholicism to disturb his quiet once he is in charge of a diocese. Hey, this is an appointment of the Age of Francis. What else do you expect.

Sorry, my dear baby. You will have to die.

We like it quiet here.

Poor Ireland

Poor father couldn't enjoy it in peace anymore.

The blog of EF Pastor Emeritus reported, a week or so ago, about the situation of the Irish priests. They are, we are informed, treated badly by their bishops: no security of a permanent position as parish priest; no explanation or consultation before a transfer; at times, even immediate removal if one happens to seriously cross the bishop. This is why the poor priests – once such a joyous image of laughter, and spreading happiness wherever they went – are now despondent and discouraged, and their pint of Guinness doesn't taste anymore how it used to. How sad.

One must sympathise with the poor employees of the Ministry Of Empty Slogans. Their superiors aren't as good to them as they Once were. In normal circumstances, their security of position in a certain location does not exceed… nine years! And this even considering that the employees are very much liked by the general public (even those not seen very often in the Ministry's corridors), whilst their superiors aren't very much liked, are they now… How cruel and insensitive the higher echelons of the Ministry Of Empty Slogans are…

Alas, there is a little problem in the entire reasoning.

The employees aren't really such. They are priests. They have solemnly and publicly stated they are willing to die for Christ, not to be willing to have safe and cosy fixed employment for life. They are the ones supposed to make themselves unpopular and uncomfortable, but in the end respected, instead of wearing their “popularity” among swindling, poorly instructed and uncaring faithful as if it were a badge of honour. It's not a marketing, or a popularity exercise.

On the contrary, it is highly indicative that a generation of priests who has managed to completely ravish Catholicism in their own country should complain about their lack of security and extol their popularity in comparison to their bishops', just in the weeks in which abortion measures are adopted in a country utterly and completely deserted by its disgraceful, cowardly clergy.

I do not expect that a priest wakes up in the morning wishing for martyrdom, as we are all humans and God will inspire all the martyrs he needs anyway. What I find astonishing is that just in the weeks in which the utter and complete failure of the Irish clergy are exposed in front of the entire Catholic planet, these people should complain about a job security going on for merely nine years – a security for which many laymen in England would not give an arm, but probably consider giving away one little finger – and call to their defence the fact they are “liked”, as if this desire to be liked wasn't the cause of the utter decay of Catholicism in the country in the first place. Absurdly, they complain that their bishops… want to be liked.

And so the likes of us – people who recognised they do not have a vocation, and whose job security is generally one to three months – must read about the lack of ministerial desk security of the very same people who have, let us say it again, utterly and completely demolished Catholicism in the once so faithful Ireland. Whilst Rome burns they are not only fiddling, but complaining about the quality of the fiddle.

Perhaps a collective transfer to Uganda, or Syria, or Libya, or Egypt, or India would do them a lot of good.

Now, the priest blogger who wrote the above mentioned post is certainly a good priest and a good blogger, and I therefore want to hope at least some of his Irish acquaintances will be the same. But he presented the situation as a general Irish problem, and it is therefore more than fitting to look at the situation in general, and to consider what the Irish clergy have done to their own Country. They have raped it, that's what they have done to it; but they complain about the occasional suppository prescribed by their doctor, the bishop. Not that the bishop is better than they are, of course. He is merely higher in the hierarchy, and the one who can prescribe the suppository to his fellow rapists. What goes around…

And so one must read about the job security whining of these employees of the Ministry Of Empty Words (which might be appropriately called Ministry Of Catholicism' Rape) just when abortion is being – after decades of popularity contest, and ministry desk occupancy – introduced in the land. One reads such complaints and has no doubt whatever about why Ireland is where it is now.

Enjoy your suppository, dear Irish priests. It is merely a small hint of the much bigger punishment waiting for many of you.

Savita’s Death: Now Please Stop The Rubbish

stop-it

We are now informed Savita Halappanavar’s death was caused by a rare infection and was nothing to do with any kind of “denied abortion”.

This is a strange of piece of information even to get, because if you click elsewhere, like for example at the usual BBC, the fact the whiners were wrong is merely mentioned en passant. You read the article and barely know what is all about, and what the findings might have been.

Not better is, predictably, the Huffington Post. We knew already that systemic failures were in place, and it is obvious there would be recommendations. Strangely, the evidence that the fact she was “refused” to get an abortion (I think it’s because it would have been murder in the circumstances; but these are too fine details for the HuffPo) did not play any role in her death is not, how should I say it, adequately conveyed.

I truly hope that all pro-abortion fans now do the one thing that must be done, and shut up.

Just as an aside, I want to say that where I come from, a husband saying “my wife should not have been denied an abortion” would have been looked at as a strange mixture between a freak show and a criminal not later than one generation ago, and many would do it even today. You see, there was a time where elementary concepts like the protection of an unborn baby – as opposed to murdering him at the first sign of complication in the pregnancy because hey, this might be good for the mother – were so universally understood that even BBC journalists got them.

I understand Mr Halappanavar is an Indian citizen. I trust he will now leave Ireland and go back to India. A Christian country is clearly too much for him.

Irish Abortion Bill Defeated

In what can only have been the first battle of a long war, the Irish Parliament has defeated a bill seeking to introduce abortion in Ireland.

You can read the details on E F Pastor Emeritus.  I will, as usual, limit myself to some comments:

1. The member Mick Wallace tried to impress his colleagues (apparently almost ending up in tears; he, not his colleagues) reading an email from a lady who had travelled to Britain in a desperate effort to kill her baby after knowing he suffered from a fatal foetal abnormality. No surprise the colleagues weren’t impressed.  Perhaps the c just couldn’t see where the point was. I admit, I couldn’t either. Still, in Mick Wallace you see a beautiful example of sensitive Nazi at work.

2. Unfortunately, the weak and tired Western European political systems seems to follow the idea that if you have lost once, you have lost forever. Therefore, the abortionist camp will insist on abortion legislation in the years to come, and the first time they win the matter will be archived as a historical battle, lost by the anti-Catholic fraction. Not so in the US, where capital punishment has been revived, Obamacare might soon be killed (by the Judiciary, perhaps; and by Legislative, if Romney can be scared enough) and the various pro-homo laws are being vigorously attacked were judicial activism (never the majority of the voters) has put them in place.

3. This is interesting: “Abortion is often presented as being pro-woman but what abortion advocates refuse to confront is the devastating impact abortion has on many women.  In 1997, we were convulsed by the ‘C’ case involving the young girl made pregnant through rape.  The courts again decided that the compassionate solution was to send the girl to the UK for an abortion, but 12 years later the woman at the centre of the case spoke of her devastation and deep regret at having the abortion. It is not clear to me how it could be “compassionate” to kill a baby. If the mother did not want to have anything to do with the baby, an orphanage would have been the solution. This idea of killing a baby because the mother was raped is simply murderous madness.

I would like to rejoice at this news, but I cannot. I feel the stories of coat hangers will start to circulate again (better to kill the baby faster, they mean; hey, we want to kill him anyway, right?) and the Irish people will throw in the towel at the first defeat.

They are not alone in this mentality, though. I remember the priest at school feeling smart as he told us the Church doesn’t fight battles she know she can’t win. What a bunch of cowards.

Nazi “Humanists” At Work In Ireland

There is not really, I think, ground to be worried yet. It might even be that idiots of this sort help the common citizen to understand how important freedom of speech is, and how long it would live it this kind of people had their way. Most probably, we have here the usual atheist moron looking for some publicity and, luckily for him, finding some other moron (the Director for Public Prosecution, another clear waste of space and taxpayer’s money; and God knows whether Ireland has taxpayer money to waste) ready to listen to him.

Still, I think I should report this to expose the Nazi mentality – but seriously, I wonder where in Nazi Germany the htought control went as far as that – of a “humanist” (this is a nice sounding word for: godless) minus habens called John Golgan. Mr Colgan, who is also politically active and can therefore use all the headlines he can get, has a problem with the following two passages of a homily of the Bishop of Raphoe, Philip Boyce. Quoting from this blog, they are as follows:

1) One of the passages referred to the Catholic Church in Ireland being

“attacked from outside by the arrows of a secular and godless culture”

2) A second passage, which was included in the complaint, stated:

“For the distinguishing mark of Christian believers is the fact they have a future; it is not that they know all the details that await them, but they know in general terms that their life will not end in emptiness.”

Believe it or not, this chap Colgan is on record with the following nonsense:

“I believe statements of this kind are an incitement to hatred of dissidents, outsiders, secularists, within the meaning of the [Incitement to Hatred] Act, who are perfectly good citizens within the meaning of the civil law. The statements exemplify the chronic antipathy towards secularists, humanists etc, which has manifested itself in the ostracising of otherwise perfectly good Irish citizens, who do not share the aims of the Vatican’s Irish Mission Church.”

I don’t even know where to start (though an insult might be appropriate). Beside the fact that in the above mentioned statement there is nothing even remotely approaching antipathy, this chap makes a first somersault construing such innocuous, even banal statements as “antipathy” against the godless; from there, he proceeds to a second somersault declaring that to have a category of people in antipathy means to incite to their hatred and is, therefore, a criminal activity.

Once again, bear in mind the poor cretin needs publicity. But really, not even Goebbels or Hitler would have dared to criminalise the Church for saying she risks of being persecuted, and mit brennender Sorge was, in fact, read in all German churches without any bishop being prosecuted!

From which we learn that compared to modern secularists a’ la Colgan, even Nazis appear moderate and tolerant.

These people are a cancer that must be eradicated.

There, I have said it. Waiting for the police now. No wait, I don’t live in Ireland, and my blog is located in the United States.

Sorry then, old chap….

Meet Father Pansy

Not one for whingeing and whining: Don Camillo

The Irish Times has an article about the situation of discomfort experienced by many priests in Ireland. The chief whiner seems to be a Father Hoban, whose world fell on his head when he received a couple of rather vulgar phone calls and who nowadays feels, how should I put it, not very popular.

The interview deals with other issues, but what striked me most is this: that a priest should complain because he experiences social isolation or hostility.

Without going in detail about the personal situation of this particular priest (from what one reads around rather a professional whiner, and one of the trendy ones), I would like to expand a bit about this situation of uneasiness experienced – in a more or less whining way – by many Irish priests.

1) A priest is not supposed to be popular. He is supposed to be a scandal. If a priest thinks that he must be popular, I know that he will be a bad priest; a priest more interested in his own acceptance than in the health of his sheep’s souls is a priest who will start twisting and turning the Catholic message in various ways in order not to compromise his main aim: to be popular, accepted, “part of the group”. This is Father Pansy, the typical appearance on the parishes of the Western world. Irish priests seem to have been particularly adept at this, as they have managed to almost destroy an extremely strong Catholic tradition in just a few decades. Whining and whingeing seems to me, therefore, not warranted.

2) In my experience, a strong priest is never despised. He will be the object of hostility, perhaps rancor, perhaps even hatred, but he will be respected at all times, and he will have a healthy following of sensible people, intelligent besides being religious. He will save souls, but saving souls always comes at a price. It was never supposed to be an easy job, or a popular one; if the priest believes in his mission, that is, and does his job accordingly. The strong priests will experience hostility and isolation, but he will always experience esteem with it. The pansy, on the other hand, will be despised, because he will be perceived – and rightly so – as a little cowardly weakling, who would do everything to avoid being unpopular. Father Pansy is, nowadays, very easy to find. I would venture to say that in my experience the majority of priests belong to this category. You know what, Father Pansy? If  you are despised, you have no right to whine.

3) I can’t avoid smiling at reading about a priest moaning because of a couple of insulting messages, or perceived hostility and isolation. Really, what a pussycat. These people should have a couple of balls put under the tree at Christmas, with a pressing request that they may please start wearing them. In the vast majority of the planet, Catholic priests live in daily, physical danger; they don’t have the luxury of whining, because even to show fear would be dangerous; they couldn’t afford a voice message service where people leave ther insults, but are daily at risk that such insults be delivered by way of a stock, or a knife, or a pistol; they wouldn’t get the attention of an important newspaper, their very real danger being utterly ignored by the local press; and they would consider Father Hoban’s life a life of luxury, comfort and security, with or without voice messages and social isolation.

4) It must be unknown to Father Hoban that every day, countless members of the laity are insulted, or openly mocked, because of the decade-long inaction of pansy priests. Still, these laymen and laywomen continue to get the flak for their love of Christ, and don’t go around saying how oh so very cold their social environment has become. Many others choose to lose their jobs rather than having to perform abortions, or being forced to behave against the tenets of their faith. Your humble correspondent had the privilege of knowing a Christian layman from a Middle Eastern country, savagely beaten by Muslims fanatics to the point of getting asylum in Italy; with an eye almost blinded, and several skull fractures, and a walking impairment from the savage beatings (several of those) received. And if you really want to cry tears of rage and tenderness, I’ll tell you how it worked: that the man was *always* asked beforehand, by people armed with sticks, whether he was a Christian or a Muslim; and he *always* answered “I am a Christian”, knowing that a savage, life-threatening beating would be the result. He was left unconscious and half dead on the street on several occasions.

A layman, mind.

Father Hoban should just shut up, and hang his head in shame.

——–

In all this discussion, the mistakes of the bishops are, in my eyes, a bit of a sideshow, at least as far as the likes of Father Hoban are concerned. Had he been a good, respected priest, no failing of his bishops would have been able to dent his personal prestige and the respect friends and enemies have for him. Instead, we read the pathetic moaning of an old man who very evidently hasn’t experienced social isolation until the ripe age of 63; which, if you ask me, is a clear sign that he hasn’t been much of a priest all of his life.

It is very strange, this shock at social hostility, when many laymen (including your humble correspondent) have experienced this very same social hostility (and not without physical threats at times; and not without hate at times; but never with contempt) from a good number of their peers since adolescence, because they opened their mouth to defend their values. Never with contempt, I said, because you’ll see that those who have the gut to believe in what they do are, generally, much respected by their enemies, and never have a problem in finding true friends. It’s the pansies who are despised by everyone, and rightly so.

Molti nemici, molto onore (“Many enemies, much honour”) was a Fascist slogan vastly – and predictably – criticised after the war, but whose profound meaning evidently always escaped our Fathers Pansy.  Their honour is to be the darling of everyone, to the point that experiencing social isolation and hostility can tear their world apart. Poor little pussycats.

This is what Vatican II has given us: a generation of pansies whining because they aren’t the darling of the neighbourhood anymore; and this, after it was exactly their desire to be the darlings that has almost destroyed Catholicism under their wake.

Can you imagine a strong priest of the years before Vatican II whining in this way about the icy atmosphere around him? Thought not. They had to do with violent commies, murderous at times, as in Spain.

Not with voice mails.

R.I.P. Maynooth College

Death toll for a bastion of V-II (in its worst form) nu-church. Maynooth College is going to close after 216 years, the last decades of which spent attracting claims of not being fit for purpose. This is the result of the recent Apostolic Visitation.

Please notice that this doesn’t mean the end of the formation of Irish seminarians; nor does this mean the end of a specific programme for them. More simply, it means that the souls of the seminarians are going to be protected by allowing them to become priests in a healthy environment, away from the bad influence of a progressive establishment.

Irish seminarians will in future be formed in an ad hoc restructured Pontifical Irish College in Rome.

Vicinity to the Pope and orthodox formation. One may hope that the vocations from Ireland will soon increase.

The European Court Of Human Rights Shows What Nazi-Activism Leads To

You might have read that, in another desperate attempt to be “relevant”, the (let me check…) European Court of Human Rights has decided that its judges are right and the Irish people, Catholicism, Christian decency and common sense wrong.

You find here a short description of what this court is. Basically,

a) it is nothing to do with the EU (besides the fact that many countries happen to be members of both)
b) it has been instituted by one of the innumerable treaties meant to give jobs to people deemed worthy of receiving favours from politicians (the main reason why such institutions exist anyway),
c) It has 47 European members. I didn’t even know Europe has made it to 47 states, but make your guess as to how many are modern democracies and you’ll know everything you need to know about this farce.
d) even Russia is part of the treaty. Which really, really says it all.

Basically, this is one of the many supranational institutions within and without the EU which are taken as an excuse to do something a national government wants to do anyway but is scared of taking responsibility for or are, alternatively, utterly and completely ignored without even the press making themselves ridiculous by asking that their ruling be put into practice.

In this case, which – as you can read here, regards a rather limited sphere of application and doesn’t force ( I mean: doesn’t even try) Ireland to repel tout court its ban of abortion, the reaction of the Irish government will tell us whether the local politicians want to take this as an excuse to give in, or stand their ground and show this activist “court” the longest finger they can find. The first reactions seem to indicate that Ireland will stay the course, and thank God for that.

But this is, really, not the question.

The question is how on Earth supranational “judges” think that they have the right to decide in the place of modern Western democracies in matters which are among the most radical and fundamental decisions imaginable.

This shows all the degree of perversion and effeminacy nowadays reached in mainstream European public opinion; a vast region where the news that some self-appointed “Supranational Supernanny” wants to tell to million of people what to think in matters of life and death doesn’t cause a deluge of calls for the immediate suppression of such ridiculously undemocratic institutions. Very simply, the idea that their “betters” should tell them how to “improve” is so ingrained in the imaginary of the emasculated population that the best you can hope is that such decision are simply ignored because of their evident stupidity. Probably what is going to happen in this case.

This is liberal Nazism at its worst. “Stuff democracy, we decide” is its war cry. Democracy is an obstacle to the creation of the “Just Nanny Society”, where the citizens are protected from their own decisions (though allowed to play democracy every now and then, if they behave) and some “judge” remakes the world at pleasure; and no Christianity please, it’s not “diverse” enough.

Fuehrerprinzip for the XXI Century, that’s what this is. We should start to call for the abolition of all such supranational judiciary bodies. They don’t count and they don’t work. They can only be used as an excuse by cowardly politicians and we really don’t need the ones or the others.

Catholic Church Fiercely Opposes Irish Abortion Congress

More than butter and beer...

In another sign that perhaps, just perhaps, somethign is startin gto change and the Church on the British island is starting to become a bit more aggressive in Her defence of Catholic value, it is to be noted that the opposition to a congress of abortionists held in England (and comprising the usual murderous “chariteees”) peeves the liberal press enough to be mentioned with less than neutral tones in articles like this one, with the author amusingly concerned about the costs of going abroad to do what is a criminal offence in his own country and some of the commenters launching themselves in the usual absurd reasoning of the “if you have killed heretics you can’t tell us not to kill babies”-sort.

I though it fitting to give notice of this because it seems to me that the tones are getting at times a bit more similar to what they should always have been. To denounce the conference as “clearly designed to undermine the rights and welfare of children in the womb and the consistently pro-life position of the majority of people on this island” cannot be defined (thank God) a very diplomatic statement and the appeal “to all those who cherish the inherent dignity of human life in all its stages to join us in expressing opposition to this event” is also a nice piece of clear communication.

I concede that this is Ireland and that it is easy to speak the truth when one has a majority behind one, but it is still clear that on this occasion there is no fear of a fight.

Let us hope that this commendable behaviour will find more and more imitators also in the UK.

The Pro-Life Adv Banned By The Irish Television

OneTimothyFour has a beautiful video of an irish Pro-life adv, banned by the Irish Government.

I fail to see what would make the video worthy of being banned. It is not crude or shocking. As a matter of fact, you only need to digit “abortion” on youtube and you’ll see photos that will make you – literally – cry.

At the end are the words “have you any conception what abortion is all about?”, but I doubt that these words might have been considered offensive. Perhaps the Irish government/regulation authority just bans advs with a religious content and this can be easily (albeit not necessarily) construed as religious content.

Still, it is good to do something in order for the irish (and all the others) to see the video anyway.
